Meethe Chawal Recipe Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds)
- 1/4 cup raisins
Let’s Meethe Chawal
- Soak rice for 20-30 Minutes.
- Drain the rice and add it to a pot with the water.
- Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat, cover the pot, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.
- While the rice is cooking, heat the ghee in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the sugar and cook, stirring occasionally, until it melts and turns golden brown.
- Add the cardamom powder, saffron strands, nuts, and raisins and cook for a few more minutes.
- Add the cooked rice to the sugar mixture and mix well.
- Serve hot or chilled.
